Preston Manor/Little Green Pig Project

An Arts Council funded project by Brighton and Hove Museums http://www.brighton-hove-rpml.org.uk/museums/prestonmanor/pages/home.aspx in collaboration with Little Green Pig http://www.littlegreenpig.org.uk/(a children's writing organisation based in Brighton).

A group of children were invited to develop a murder mystery story based in Preston Manor. My role was to help facilitate 2 of their workshops and I spent some time in the house soaking up the spooky atmosphere. I was then asked to produce images of the fictional characters. It was a first time opportunity for me to work closely with writers to visualise the characters they'd created. They are a very talented bunch of kids with strong ideas of how these people looked. It was a real delight to work with them and I can't wait to see the project when its launched on the website next month.

This is Thomas, owner of Preston Manor. He has a collection of glass eyes and chooses the colour of his glass eye depending on his mood.
And Charlotte, mistress of Thomas and house guest - she has her heart set on becoming lady of the manor.
The butler, Philip - in love with Elizabeth, wife of Thomas.
Mary, the light-fingered young maid.

Elizabeth, miserable and mistreated wife of Thomas.
Theodore, guest at the Manor and secret illegitimate son of Elizabeth.
